US Vice President Cancels Pakistan Visit Amid Tensions

U.S. Vice President JD Vance has cancelled his planned visit to Pakistan, as the second round of peace talks between the United States and Iran was called off.

The discussions were scheduled to take place in Pakistan following escalating tensions between the two countries. Since February 28, joint military actions by the United States and Israel against Iran have intensified the situation.

Amid the conflict, Iran reportedly moved to restrict access through the Strait of Hormuz, a key global oil shipping route, triggering concerns over a potential fuel crisis worldwide.

In response, the United States had earlier announced a two-week ceasefire agreement to ease tensions.

However, with the second round of talks now cancelled, uncertainty continues to surround diplomatic efforts to resolve the crisis.
