
Social media platform Facebook has reportedly experienced a widespread global outage, leaving users in several countries unable to access the service.
Millions of users have reported disruptions, including difficulties logging in, loading pages, refreshing feeds, and accessing various Facebook features.
According to website monitoring platform IsDown, more than 5,700 users submitted reports indicating that Facebook was not functioning properly.
Users Across Multiple Countries Affected
The outage has impacted users in numerous countries, including Sri Lanka, with many taking to other social media platforms to report the issue.
The highest number of outage reports have been recorded in the United States and the Philippines, suggesting that the disruption is affecting users on a global scale.
Cause Yet to Be Confirmed
As of now, Facebook’s parent company, Meta Platforms, has not officially announced the cause of the outage or provided a timeline for full service restoration.
Technical teams are expected to investigate the issue as users continue to experience interruptions.
