“Joseph Vijay Chandrasekhar, That Is Me…” – Anticipation Builds Over Vijay’s First Signature as CM

Amid a dramatic political shift in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly election, actor-turned-politician Vijay, also known as Joseph Vijay Chandrasekhar, is leading his party Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) toward a historic electoral victory.

According to the latest counting trends, TVK is in a strong leading position:

  • TVK: 113 seats
  • AIADMK: 70 seats
  • DMK: 52 seats

With the majority mark set at 118 seats, TVK is rapidly approaching the threshold required to form the next government. Meanwhile, the ruling DMK has been pushed to third place, creating significant shock among its supporters and reshaping the political landscape of the state.

In this context, public attention has now turned toward Vijay’s earlier campaign promises, especially regarding what his first official signature would be if he assumes office as Chief Minister.

🔹 Key Promises by Vijay

During his election campaign, Vijay outlined several major policy commitments, including:

  • Monthly financial assistance of ₹2,500 for women
  • Halting the Parandur Airport project
  • Full waiver of student education loans
  • Conducting government job exams on a fixed annual schedule and filling vacancies
  • Introducing employment programs with training and stipends for youth
  • Increasing Minimum Support Price (MSP) for paddy and sugarcane
  • Waiving crop loans for farmers
  • Establishing “Anjalai Ammal Fast-Track Courts” to ensure women’s safety
  • Continuing free bus travel for women with added safety features like panic buttons
  • Ensuring corruption-free and transparent governance
  • Setting up regional grievance redressal centers across key districts
  • Expanding free advanced healthcare facilities
  • Providing relief and reforms in domestic electricity tariffs

As counting continues, expectations are rising over which of these promises Vijay will prioritize as his first executive decision.

An official announcement regarding the next Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu is expected later today, as the final results are awaited.
