22 Militants Killed in Security Operation in Pakistan

At least 22 militants linked to the banned group Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan have been killed during a joint operation by security forces in northwestern Pakistan.
The operation was carried out in the Khyber district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa based on intelligence reports, with the military working alongside police.
During the clash, militants opened indiscriminate fire, resulting in the death of a 10-year-old child. Authorities condemned the incident as a tragic and inhumane act.
Pakistan’s President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif strongly condemned the violence while also praising the security forces for the successful operation.
Reports indicate that militant attacks in Pakistan have increased by 34% over the past year, with a surge in violence particularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan regions.
