Indian Government Scholarship Awarded to 100 Jaffna University Students

A scholarship awarding ceremony for students of the University of Jaffna under the Indian Government scholarship scheme was held on Tuesday (03) at the university premises.

Indian High Commissioner Santosh Jha, who visited Jaffna, officially handed over the scholarships to selected students as part of an initiative aimed at supporting their higher education through financial assistance.

During the event, scholarships were awarded to 100 selected first-year students from all faculties of the University of Jaffna.

Each student will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 8,000, which will continue until the completion of their university studies.

The event was attended by Acting Vice Chancellor of the University of Jaffna and Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Nagamuthu Pradeeparaja, Deputy High Commissioner of India Sai Murali, lecturers, and students.
