Seeman Support Banners Spark Attention in Jaffna

Support banners for Seeman, leader of the Naam Tamilar Katchi, have drawn widespread attention in Jaffna, with multiple displays reported across key locations.

A large banner was first placed near the Nallur Kandaswamy Temple, while another banner was installed today (21) at the Thirunelveli junction area.

The move comes ahead of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly election 2026 scheduled for April 23, where Seeman’s party is contesting independently. The banners are said to express support for his political stance and reflect Tamil nationalist sentiments.

Eelam Tamils have traditionally shown strong interest in Tamil Nadu politics, particularly in relation to issues concerning Tamil identity and rights. Seeman, known for consistently advocating Tamil causes, is believed to have a notable support base in Northern Sri Lanka.

The appearance of multiple banners in Jaffna has now become a topic of discussion across social and political circles.
