Sri Lanka Clinch T20 Series Against Bangladesh

The Sri Lanka Women’s Cricket Team secured the T20 series against the Bangladesh Women’s Cricket Team with a convincing performance.

The second T20 match between the two sides was played in Sylhet.

Batting first, Sri Lanka posted a total of 154 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in their 20 overs. Chamari Athapaththu scored 42 runs off 37 balls, while Harshitha Samarawickrama led the charge with an impressive 49 runs off 29 balls, including 2 sixes and 4 boundaries. Nilakshi de Silva remained unbeaten on 22 runs from 18 balls.

In reply, Bangladesh struggled against Sri Lanka’s bowling attack and managed only 133 runs in their 20 overs, falling short of the target.

For Bangladesh, Sharmin Akhter top-scored with 44 runs, while Juwairiya added 29 runs and Dilara Akter contributed 23 runs.

With this victory, Sri Lanka claimed the T20 series, having already won the earlier One Day International (ODI) series as well.
