Russia–Ukraine War: Kim Jong Un Reaffirms Support for Russia

Kim Jong Un has once again reaffirmed North Korea’s support for Russia in its ongoing war against Ukraine.
According to reports, North Korea has been providing Russia with military assistance, including missiles, explosives, and other defense support. In return, Russia is believed to be supplying North Korea with military technology, food, and energy resources.
Recent high-level engagements further highlight the strengthening ties between the two countries. Notably, Andrei Belousov visited North Korea and held discussions with Kim Jong Un on April 26.
During the meeting, Kim reportedly stated that North Korea fully supports Russia’s efforts to protect its sovereignty, territorial integrity, and security interests. He also expressed confidence that Russia would emerge victorious in what he described as a “sacred war.”
Officials from both sides also discussed expanding military cooperation, with Russia reportedly preparing to sign a long-term defense cooperation agreement covering the period from 2027 to 2031.
The development signals deepening strategic and military relations between North Korea and Russia amid ongoing global tensions.
