
The second phase of the Youth Link Sri Lanka domestic youth exchange programme is set to commence today (June 11) at 3.00 p.m. in Gampaha under the patronage of Deputy Minister of Youth Affairs, Thinindu Saman Hennayake.
Gampaha Selected as Host District
For this phase of the programme, Gampaha has been designated as the host district, while Mullaitivu District and Batticaloa District have been selected as the participating districts.
The initiative aims to strengthen understanding, cooperation, and cultural exchange among young people from different regions of the country.
Youth Exchange Activities Planned
Young men and women from Mullaitivu and Batticaloa will travel to Gampaha to participate in a range of exchange activities designed to promote interaction, learning, and community engagement.
The programme is expected to provide participants with opportunities to build friendships, share experiences, and gain exposure to diverse cultural and social environments.
Promoting National Unity
Organisers stated that Youth Link Sri Lanka is intended to foster national integration, mutual understanding, and social cohesion among the country’s youth.
The programme is regarded as an important initiative aimed at encouraging collaboration and strengthening connections between young people from different communities across Sri Lanka.
