Vesak Message from Minister Ramalingam Chandrasekar
The noble teachings of Lord Buddha—compassion, loving-kindness, peace, and humanity—serve as timeless guiding principles that illuminate the lives of people across the world, said Minister R. Chandrasekar in his Vesak message.
He further stated that, on this sacred Vesak Day, the expectation is for all people to move forward on the path of peace, unity, mutual respect, and harmony.
He emphasized that Sri Lanka, being a multi-ethnic and multi-religious country, must foster national progress and lasting peace through mutual respect for each other’s religious beliefs and by living with a spirit of brotherhood.
The Minister also noted that the teachings of the Buddha should cultivate love, patience, and compassion within human minds. He extended his Vesak greetings, wishing that this festival brings happiness, peace, and prosperity to every household in the country.
