Suspect Shot Dead Near White House After Gunfire Incident

International media reported that a suspect who opened fire near the White House complex in Washington, D.C., was shot dead by security personnel.
The shooting incident reportedly took place on Saturday (23) afternoon on a street located close to the main security perimeter of the White House.
According to reports, the suspect opened fire targeting security officers who were on duty outside the White House.
Following the incident, officers attached to the presidential security division and police launched a counter-operation, during which the suspect was seriously injured, arrested, and admitted to hospital. However, hospital sources later confirmed that he died while receiving treatment.
A civilian standing near the scene was also injured during the exchange of gunfire, while no security officers were reported injured.
At the time of the incident, U.S. President Donald Trump was reportedly inside the White House, according to international media reports.
Following the shooting, the U.S. Secret Service and police immediately secured the surrounding area of the White House. Roads around the complex were temporarily closed, and security measures in the area were significantly strengthened.
