Rain Washes Out Second Unofficial ODI Between Sri Lanka Women A and New Zealand Women A

The second unofficial Women’s One Day International between the Sri Lanka Women A team and the New Zealand Women A team, played on Friday (15) at the Rangiri Dambulla International Cricket Stadium, was abandoned due to rain.
Chasing a target of 198 runs set by Sri Lanka Women A, New Zealand Women A had reached 66 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 10.1 overs when rain interrupted play.
As the rain continued, officials were unable to resume the match and eventually called it off.
For New Zealand Women A, Bella James scored 20 runs, while Kate Anderson remained unbeaten on 19 and Bella Armstrong was not out on 13 runs.
Rashmika Sewwandi and Tharuka Shehani picked up one wicket each for Sri Lanka Women A.
Earlier in the match, Sri Lanka Women A, batting first, scored 197 runs in their allotted 50 overs.
