Fake Sureties in Kapila Chandrasena Bail Case Obtained Multiple Grama Niladhari Certificates

Police informed the Colombo Magistrate’s Court that investigations have revealed that two fake sureties who were presented to obtain bail for the late former CEO of SriLankan Airlines, Kapila Chandrasena, had obtained Grama Niladhari certificates on several occasions.

According to the Wellawatte Police, investigations have found that from the beginning of this year up to now, one suspect had obtained 10 Grama Niladhari certificates, while another suspect had obtained 7 such certificates.

Police further stated that the suspects had obtained those Grama Niladhari certificates by confirming their places of residence.
