Former Sabaragamuwa University Vice Chancellor Removed from Position

The University Grants Commission (UGC) has decided to remove Professor Sunil Shantha from his position as the Vice Chancellor of the Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka.

Chairman of the University Grants Commission, Professor Kapila Senavirathna, stated that a new programme will be implemented for future administrative activities.

However, the official reason for Professor Sunil Shantha’s removal from the position has not yet been announced.
