Travel Ban Imposed on Former President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and Two Senior Military Officers

The Colombo Fort Magistrate’s Court has issued an order temporarily prohibiting former President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and two senior military officers from leaving the country in connection with investigations into the 2019 Easter Sunday Attacks.

The order was issued today (June 3) when the case was taken up before the court.

Accordingly, a temporary overseas travel ban has been imposed on former President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and the two military officers pending further legal proceedings related to the Easter Sunday attacks case.
