New Zealand Women’s A beat Sri Lanka Women’s A in 3rd T20 match

The New Zealand Women’s A team defeated the Sri Lanka Women’s A team by 5 wickets in the third and final unofficial Women’s T20 match held on Monday (25) at the Rangiri Dambulla International Cricket Stadium.
With this match, New Zealand A secured a consolation victory after losing the first two matches and conceding the series.
In a low-scoring encounter, Sri Lanka Women’s A, batting first, were bowled out for 78 runs in 16.5 overs.
Captain Sathya Sandeepani top-scored with 16 runs, while Sanchana Kavindi and Sumudu Nisansala contributed 15 runs each. Piumi Vathsala added 12 runs.
For New Zealand A, Jess Watkin produced an outstanding bowling performance, taking 4 wickets for just 4 runs, while Kayley Knight claimed 2 wickets for 5 runs.
In reply, New Zealand Women’s A reached 79/5 in 18.5 overs to secure victory.
Brooke Halliday remained unbeaten on 30 runs, while Kate Anderson scored 17 runs.
Pramudi Methsara took 2 wickets for 5 runs, and Sachini Nisansala claimed 2 wickets for 14 runs for Sri Lanka.
