Body of Army Soldier Recovered from Well in Homagama

The body of a man was recovered from a well located near a paddy field in the Pitipana South area, which falls under the Homagama Police division.

According to police, the body was discovered during an investigation launched following a complaint received by the Homagama Police yesterday morning (15).

The deceased has been identified as a 43-year-old army soldier from the Moronthuduwa area in Mahalanda.

After the magistrate’s inquiry and post-mortem examination were completed, the body was handed over to the relatives.

Further investigations into the incident are being carried out by the Homagama Police.
