Kankesanthurai–Nagapattinam Passenger Ferry Service to Resume

The passenger ferry service between Kankesanthurai (KKS), Jaffna and Nagapattinam, India is set to resume operations.

According to K.M. Jeyaseelan, the Sri Lankan Director of the Subham shipping company, the “Sivagangai” passenger ferry will restart services on 3 June 2026.

The ferry service had been temporarily suspended several weeks ago after the vessel suffered damage due to adverse weather conditions at sea.

Service Schedule

The ferry will operate on its regular schedule, providing services six days a week, with Tuesdays excluded.
