Trump Says He Would Rather Be Called a “Smart Dictator” Than “Stupid”

U.S. President Donald Trump has said that he would rather be called a “smart dictator” than a “stupid person.”

Speaking at a supporters’ gathering in New York City, the 79-year-old Trump responded to criticism about his mental fitness by saying that he had asked his doctor to conduct a cognitive test.

“I’m the smartest person you’ll ever meet. Don’t you want a smart person leading the country?” Trump asked the crowd.

He further said that he could tolerate being called a “smart dictator,” but could not accept being labeled “stupid.”

Trump explained that his doctor introduced him to a cognitive assessment test that starts with easy questions and becomes increasingly difficult toward the end.

According to Trump, he took the test three times during his presidency and achieved perfect scores each time. He also argued that anyone running for president or vice president should undergo similar cognitive testing.

The test Trump referred to is known as the “Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA),” commonly used to detect early signs of conditions such as Dementia and other memory-related or mental health issues.

Medical experts, however, have expressed differing opinions. Professor Henry David Abraham of Tufts University School of Medicine stated that taking the same cognitive test three times within a short period could itself be concerning.

Former professor John Gartner of Johns Hopkins University also claimed that Trump has shown signs of cognitive decline.

Meanwhile, Pete Hegseth defended Trump, praising his health and intelligence and describing him as one of the sharpest and most intelligent leaders America has seen in a long time.
