US President Donald Trump to Visit China on Official Two-Day Tour

US President Donald Trump is scheduled to begin a two-day official visit to China today (13).
According to foreign media reports, this marks the first visit to China by a US President in nearly a decade.
The reports further describe the visit as a significant moment in relations between the world’s two largest economies.
This will also be the first face-to-face meeting between Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping since they met at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Summit 2025 held in Busan, South Korea, in October 2025.
It is also notable that this is Trump’s first visit to China since beginning his second presidential term on January 20, 2025.
Reports indicate that discussions during the visit are expected to focus on the US–Israel conflict involving Iran and issues related to the global oil market.
