Public Hearing on Proposed Special Electricity Tariff Revision to Be Held Today

The Public Utilities Commission has announced that a public consultation on the proposed special electricity tariff revision for 2026 will be held today (06).

According to the Commission’s Director Jayanath Herath, the oral public hearing is scheduled to take place from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall.

The session is expected to gather views and feedback from the public and stakeholders regarding the proposed tariff changes, as part of the regulatory process before final decisions are made.
