Chief Ministers Facing Setbacks in Key States

In the latest counting trends from the ongoing assembly elections, Chief Ministers of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and West Bengal are reportedly facing early setbacks in their respective constituencies.

According to preliminary reports, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin and Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan are trailing in their constituencies as counting progresses. Meanwhile, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee also faced early setbacks but later regained a narrow lead by the end of the fourth round of counting.

In contrast, in Assam, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is said to be maintaining a steady lead, with indications of continued National Democratic Alliance (NDA) dominance in the state. In Puducherry, AINRC leader and Chief Minister N. Rangasamy has reportedly been declared victorious, paving the way for another NDA-led government formation.

Overall trends suggest possible shifts in power in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and West Bengal, where opposition parties such as Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) in Tamil Nadu, Congress in Kerala, and BJP in West Bengal are reportedly gaining enough seats to challenge existing governments.

Counting is still in progress, and final outcomes are yet to be officially confirmed by the Election Commission.
