Flight Operations Resume in Iran Amid Ongoing Security Concerns

Iran’s airspace and flight operations, which had been suspended for approximately 58 days due to the conflict involving U.S.–Israel joint forces, have now resumed.

According to officials, the reopening of airspace has been carried out in four phases starting from April 19. Subsequently, from April 25, international flight services to 15 destinations have recommenced from Imam Khomeini International Airport.

Domestic airlines are currently operating flights to several countries, including Turkey (Istanbul), China, Russia, Oman (Muscat), and Saudi Arabia (Medina).

Prior to the conflict, around 150 flights were operated daily. However, at present, only a limited number of flights are in operation due to ongoing security considerations.

Meanwhile, international airlines are expected to resume services only after closely assessing Iran’s political stability and the prevailing security environment, aviation sources indicated.
