Donald Trump Image to Appear on U.S. Passports

Foreign media have reported that the United States Department of State is planning to include the image of Donald Trump on U.S. passports.
According to these reports, the new passports are expected to be issued in July as part of the 250th anniversary celebrations of the U.S. Declaration of Independence. A statement attributed to State Department spokesperson Tommy Pigott noted that the updated passports will feature enhanced imagery and artistic elements, while maintaining their status as one of the most secure documents in the world.
It is further reported that the inner pages of the passport may include excerpts from the Declaration of Independence, along with an image of Donald Trump set against the U.S. flag. His signature is also expected to be embossed in gold.
Sources indicate that a limited number of these passports will be issued to mark the historic occasion, although the exact number has not yet been confirmed.
The inclusion of a sitting leader’s image on a passport is considered highly unusual in democratic countries, making this a potentially significant and historic development.
