Cyberattack on Public Administration Ministry Website Reported to CID 

A complaint has been lodged with the Criminal Investigation Department regarding a recent cyberattack targeting the official website of the Ministry of Public Administration, Minister Chandana Abeyratne stated.

The complaint was filed with the intervention of the Ministry Secretary, according to the Minister.

Authorities revealed that hackers had allegedly attempted to auction off data obtained from the website for financial gain. However, officials confirmed that no critical or sensitive information was compromised, and only limited general data may have been exposed.

Meanwhile, the Sri Lanka Computer Emergency Readiness Team has also launched an അന്വേഷണം into the incident.
