Free Metro Travel for Fans Attending IPL Match in Chennai

Fans attending the Indian Premier League (IPL) match scheduled for tomorrow at the M. A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai will be able to travel free on the Chennai Metro, under a special arrangement.
The initiative has been jointly organized by Chennai Metro Rail Limited and Chennai Super Kings Cricket Limited.
Accordingly, spectators holding either electronic or physical match tickets can scan the QR code on their ticket at metro station entry gates to travel. This facility allows free travel with two entries and two exits.
The offer is valid for travel from any Chennai Metro station to Government Estate Metro Station, which is located close to the stadium, and for the return journey as well.
To facilitate fans returning home after the match, the last trains from Government Estate Metro Station to Wimco Nagar Depot and Airport Metro stations will depart at 1:00 AM.
Passengers traveling on the Green Line can interchange only at Chennai Central Metro Station.
Commuters are advised to enter the station at least 10 minutes before the departure of the last train.
