Rasikh Salam Aims to Represent India, Shines for RCB in IPL 2026

Rasikh Salam has emerged as a promising performer for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 2026 IPL season, claiming 5 wickets in his first three matches. His standout performance came in a match where he picked up 4 wickets for just 24 runs, playing a key role in his team’s victory.

In a recent interview, Salam stated that his ultimate ambition is to represent India at the highest level. He noted that while he did not initially dream of playing in the IPL or for the national team, his focus has now shifted towards representing India across all formats of the game.

Rasikh Salam was bought by RCB for Rs. 6 crore at the previous mega auction. Although he had limited opportunities during the 2025 season when RCB secured the title, he used the time to learn from senior players, including Bhuvneshwar Kumar.

Now established as a key bowler in the RCB lineup, Salam’s pace and accuracy have drawn attention, with expectations rising that he could soon break into the Indian national team.
