Vietnam Airlines to Launch Direct Flights Between Sri Lanka and Vietnam This Year

President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has announced that Vietnam Airlines will commence direct flight services between Sri Lanka and Vietnam within this year.

He made this statement during a joint media briefing held with visiting Vietnamese President To Lam, who is currently in Sri Lanka on an official visit.

President Dissanayake also stated that bilateral trade between the two countries is expected to reach 1 billion US dollars by 2030.

Meanwhile, Vietnamese President To Lam emphasized that Vietnam is keen to strengthen relations with Sri Lanka across all sectors.
