Registration of Vesak Dansala Activities Begins

The registration process for Vesak Dansala activities organized for the upcoming Vesak Full Moon Poya Day has commenced from today (04), the Public Health Inspectors’ Association announced. According to the association, the registration will be carried out through Medical Officer of Health (MOH) offices across the country.

The association’s Secretary, Samil Muthukuda, stated that the Ministry of Health has already issued special guidelines for conducting Dansala activities, and organizers are advised to seek further details from Public Health Inspectors in their respective areas.

He further emphasized that these measures are intended to ensure food safety and public health standards during the large-scale charitable events held across the island for Vesak celebrations.

Meanwhile, it is noted that the Vesak Full Moon Poya Day has been declared for May 30, following agreement based on the recommendations of the Maha Nayaka Theras of the three Buddhist chapters.
