Aswesuma Welfare Payments to Be Credited Tomorrow

The Welfare Benefits Board has announced that payments under the Aswesuma welfare scheme will be credited to beneficiaries’ bank accounts tomorrow (22).

According to the statement, under the first phase of the programme, a total of Rs. 3,087,030,000 will be disbursed as April payments to 617,406 elderly beneficiaries aged over 70.

In addition, under the second phase, Rs. 362,625,000 will be allocated to 72,525 elderly beneficiaries in the same age category.

The payments are part of the government’s ongoing efforts to provide financial support to vulnerable groups through the Aswesuma welfare initiative.
