Sri Lanka Records Over 858,000 Tourist Arrivals in First Four Months

The Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority has reported that a total of 858,527 foreign tourists visited Sri Lanka between January 1 and April 26.

During the first 26 days of April alone, 117,893 tourists arrived in the country.

The highest single-day arrival in April was recorded on April 2, with 6,624 tourists entering Sri Lanka on that day.

Among the visitors who arrived from April 1 onwards, India recorded the highest number of tourists, with 35,862 arrivals.

This was followed by tourists from United Kingdom (9,585), Australia (9,142), China (8,543), Russia (6,172), and France (5,219).

A notable number of tourists also arrived from Germany, Switzerland, and Bangladesh.
