Day Four of Peace Walk Begins from Mawanella

The fourth day of the Walk for Peace Program in Sri Lanka, aimed at promoting global peace and harmony, commenced on Saturday (25) from the Beligammana Rajamaha Viharaya in Mawanella.

Today’s march began in the morning and is scheduled to proceed via Kegalle, concluding at Dudley Senanayake Central College in Tholangamuwa.

The peace walk was officially launched on Wednesday (22) in the sacred city of Dambulla.

The initiative is being led by a group of Buddhist monks headed by Venerable Pannagara Thero from Vietnam. A large number of Buddhist clergy and civilians have joined the walk, highlighting a strong public participation in the campaign for peace and unity.
