Johnston Fernando Granted Bail by Wattala Court

Former Minister Johnston Fernando has been released on bail by the Wattala Magistrate’s Court in connection with allegations of misusing a Lanka Sathosa-owned lorry.

The order was issued today (24) when the case was taken up before Magistrate Kanchana N. Silva.

The court granted bail on a cash amount of Rs. 25,000 along with four sureties of Rs. 500,000 each.

The suspect had been in remand custody prior to the court’s decision.
