Rauff Hakeem Meets Tamil Nadu Minister Adhav Arjuna in Chennai

Chennai: Sri Lanka Muslim Congress (SLMC) leader and Member of Parliament Rauff Hakeem met Tamil Nadu’s Minister for Public Works and Sports Adhav Arjuna at the Tamil Nadu Secretariat in Chennai on Friday (19) evening for a cordial discussion.
During the meeting, the two leaders exchanged views on the current political situation in Sri Lanka. MP Rauff Hakeem also informed Minister Adhav Arjuna of plans by representatives of Sri Lanka’s minority political parties to jointly visit Tamil Nadu and hold discussions with Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Joseph Vijay in the near future.
Several prominent figures were also present at the official meeting, including K. Nawas Kani, Chairman of the Tamil Nadu Waqf Board and Member of Parliament; Jamal Muhammed Ibrahim, State Deputy Secretary of the Indian Union Muslim League; Syed Pattani, Tenkasi District Secretary of the party; Shafeeq Ahmed, State Secretary of the Muslim Students Federation (MSF); and senior journalist Tiruchi M.K. Shakul Hameed of the Manichudar newspaper.
The meeting focused on strengthening ties and discussing matters of mutual political and community interest between stakeholders in Sri Lanka and Tamil Nadu.
