Sri Lanka Expresses Concern Over Attack Near Kuwait International Airport

The Government of Sri Lanka has expressed deep concern over the recent attack on civilian infrastructure near Kuwait International Airport, which resulted in injuries to three Sri Lankan nationals.

In an official statement, the Government emphasized that the safety, well-being, and security of more than one million Sri Lankan citizens living and working across the region remain a top priority.

Sri Lanka called on all parties involved to exercise maximum restraint and avoid any further escalation of tensions that could threaten civilian lives and undermine regional stability.

Reaffirming its commitment to peace and security, the Government stated that Sri Lanka will continue to support international efforts aimed at maintaining regional stability, protecting civilians, and promoting dialogue and peaceful resolutions to conflicts.

The statement comes amid growing concerns over regional security developments and their potential impact on foreign workers and civilian populations in the Middle East.
