World Environment Day Message – Prime Minister

On the occasion of World Environment Day, I extend my sincere commitment to protecting and preserving our environment for the present and future generations.
The environment is the foundation of human life and national development. As we face increasing challenges from climate change, deforestation, and environmental degradation, it is our collective responsibility to adopt sustainable practices and safeguard our natural resources.
In line with the global theme “Urgent Climate Action,” our government remains firmly committed to strengthening environmental protection policies and promoting green development. Special attention is being given to the conservation of forests, protection of water catchment areas, restoration of ecosystems, and reduction of pollution across the country.
Initiatives such as nationwide reforestation programmes, sustainable waste management systems, and community-based environmental awareness campaigns are being implemented to ensure long-term ecological balance. We also encourage every citizen to take responsibility in preserving nature through small but meaningful daily actions.
Environmental protection is not the duty of one institution alone; it requires the active participation of all citizens, communities, and institutions. Together, we can build a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable nation.
Let us unite in our commitment to protect our environment and ensure a healthy planet for generations to come.
