New Zealand Parliament’s Opposition Foreign Affairs Spokesperson Vanushi Walters has met Sri Lanka’s Foreign Minister Vijitha Herath.

In a post shared on his official X (formerly Twitter) account, the Minister stated that they held a productive discussion on several bilateral matters.

He noted that he briefed her on Sri Lanka’s economy, including areas such as trade, tourism, investment opportunities, and recent political developments.

Minister Vijitha Herath also highlighted that Vanushi Walters fondly recalled her Sri Lankan heritage and acknowledged the significant contributions made by the Sri Lankan diaspora living in New Zealand.
