🌧️ Rain Condition
There is a possibility of showers or thundershowers at several places in offshore sea areas extending from Puttalam to Hambantota via Colombo and Galle.
In other sea areas around the island, showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places during the evening or night.
🌬️ Wind Condition
Winds over the sea areas around Sri Lanka are expected to blow from the south-west direction.
Wind speed may reach around 30–40 km/h.
In offshore sea areas extending from Batticaloa to Trincomalee, Kankesanthurai, Mannar, Puttalam, Colombo, Galle and Hambantota up to Pottuvil, wind speeds may temporarily increase up to 50–60 km/h.
🌊 Sea Condition
Sea areas extending from Batticaloa to Trincomalee, Kankesanthurai, Mannar, Puttalam, Colombo, Galle and Hambantota up to Pottuvil, as well as offshore areas from Galle to Hambantota and up to Pottuvil, are expected to be rough at times.
Other sea areas around the island will be moderate.
Wave heights in offshore areas from Mannar to Puttalam, Colombo, Galle and Hambantota up to Pottuvil may rise between 2.0 – 3.0 meters (this refers to wave height in deep sea, not near the coast).
During thundershowers, strong winds and very rough sea conditions can be expected at times.
