Mahinda, Namal and Basil Rajapaksa Allegedly Visited Pillayan in Prison After Easter Attacks

The Attorney General has informed the court that former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, Namal Rajapaksa, and Basil Rajapaksa had visited Sivanesathurai Chandrakanthan, also known as Pillayan, while he was being detained at the Batticaloa Prison following the Easter Sunday terrorist attacks.

The Attorney General further informed the court that it had also been revealed that the group had allegedly told Pillayan during the prison visit that steps would be taken to secure his bail within a week after Gotabaya Rajapaksa came to power.
