Awareness Programme on “The Entire Nation Together” National Initiative Held in Valaichenai
An awareness campaign related to the national programme titled “The Entire Nation Together” was held on 18 May 2026 at the Koralaipattu Central Valaichenai Divisional Secretariat, in view of President Anura Kumara Dissanayake’s upcoming visit to the Batticaloa District.
The programme was conducted under the leadership of Koralaipattu Central Divisional Secretary M.P.M. Mubarak, with the participation of all Secretariat officials.
Under the guidance of the President, several island-wide initiatives are currently being implemented through the National Council for Drug Prevention under the theme “The Entire Nation Together” to control drug use and distribution across the country.
As part of this national programme, President Anura Kumara Dissanayake is scheduled to visit the Batticaloa District on Wednesday, 20 May 2026.
During the event, an awareness presentation on the national initiative was delivered by Drug Prevention Officer M.H. Murshideen under the direction of the Divisional Secretary.
In addition, posters, banners, and leaflets intended for distribution across all villages through the Secretariat’s nine Grama Niladhari divisions were officially handed over by the Divisional Secretary to the Grama Niladhari officers.
Following this, awareness banners were displayed in several public locations near the Secretariat, including the entrance to the Ottamavadi Main Bridge and the Navalady Junction, with the participation of office staff members.
