Discussion Held Between Presidential Secretary and Bauddhaloka Vesak Committee Representatives
A discussion between Presidential Secretary Dr. Nandika Sanath Kumanayake and representatives of the Bauddhaloka Vesak Committee was held on Monday (18) afternoon at the Presidential Secretariat.
This year marks the 25th edition of the Bauddhaloka Vesak Zone, which will be organized in line with the Vesak festival. The event is scheduled to take place from May 30 to June 1, centered around Bauddhaloka Mawatha.
Following the instructions of President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, arrangements have been made to organize the event on a grand scale with the involvement of the Presidential Secretariat and the support of both government and private institutions.
During the discussion, attention was focused on preliminary arrangements related to the event as well as the facilities to be provided for the public.
Colombo Mayor Vraie Cally Balthazaar, Senior Additional Secretary to the President Roshan Gamage, All Ceylon Buddhist Congress President Chandra Nimal Wagishta, Vice President Roshan Mathumage, Treasurer Wasantha De Silva, government officials, senior security officers, and representatives of sponsoring institutions were among those who attended the meeting.
