176,269 Arrested in Nationwide Anti-Drug Operation

The Sri Lanka Police Media Division stated that 176,269 individuals have been arrested in connection with anti-drug raids conducted under the nationwide operation titled “Whole Country Together.”

According to police, these operations were carried out between October 30, 2025, and May 14, 2026.

During the operation, authorities conducted a total of 177,312 inspections and raids across the country.

In addition, detention orders have been obtained against 2,820 suspects who were arrested during the operations.

Police also stated that 2,050 individuals identified as drug addicts have been referred to rehabilitation centres for treatment and rehabilitation programs.
