Adverse Weather Damages 88 Houses Across Sri Lanka

The Disaster Management Centre has stated that 88 houses across the country have been partially damaged due to the prevailing adverse weather conditions.

The damages have been reported from around seven districts, with the highest number of affected houses recorded in Kalutara District.

District-wise Damage Reports

• Kalutara District – 40 houses
• Batticaloa District – 25 houses
• Ratnapura District – 9 houses
• Galle District – 5 houses
• Colombo District – 5 houses
• Monaragala District – 4 houses

The Disaster Management Centre further stated that 104 individuals belonging to 29 affected families are currently being sheltered in two safety centers due to the severe weather situation.
