Promotion of Eco-Friendly Electric Vehicles (EVs) in Tourism Zones

The Government has placed special focus on promoting eco-friendly electric vehicles (EVs) in tourism zoSet featured imagenes and exploring their feasibility as part of its sustainable development strategy.

The main objective of this initiative is to transform designated tourism zones into “Zero Emission” areas in the future, through a combination of investments and practical implementation programs.

Preliminary work to assess the background conditions and feasibility of this initiative has already begun. Authorities expect that this environmentally friendly approach will provide a significant boost to Sri Lanka’s green tourism sector and contribute to long-term sustainability in the industry.
