Field Visit Conducted to Review Progress of Skill Development Day Care Centre in Kinniya
A field visit was conducted on May 29 under the leadership of District Secretary/Government Agent W.G.M. Hemantha Kumara to review the progress of the Skill Development Day Care Centre established in Kinniya under the programme initiated by the President.
During the visit, officials inspected the ongoing construction work and held detailed discussions regarding the remaining activities required to complete the facility.
In addition, the Director of the Department of Social Services discussed with the District Secretary the outstanding work related to the Day Care Centre and the procedures that should be followed for the official opening ceremony.
The event was attended by the Divisional Secretary of Kinniya, the District Engineer, the Coordinator of the Department of Social Services, the Development Officer of the Kinniya Divisional Secretariat, the Chairman of the Pradeshiya Sabha, and officials representing vocational training institutions.
The Skill Development Day Care Centre is expected to provide enhanced support services and development opportunities for the local community upon its completion.
