Teenager Found Dead in Mullipoththanai, Trincomalee

A 17-year-old youth was found dead after reportedly hanging himself in the Mullipoththanai area, which falls under the Thambalagamam Police division in Trincomalee.

Police stated that the body was discovered this morning (16).

The deceased has been identified as a resident of the Mullipoththanai area. According to initial reports, the teenager had been staying at his brother’s house for the past few days despite normally living with his family.

He was reportedly found hanging during the early hours of the morning.

Further investigations into the incident are being conducted by the Thambalagamam Police.
