Indian Air Force Chief Meets Sri Lanka Navy Commander

Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh, Chief of the Air Staff of the Indian Air Force, met with Vice Admiral Kanchana Banagoda at the Sri Lanka Navy Headquarters on 21 May 2026.

Upon his arrival at the Navy Headquarters, the visiting Indian Air Force Chief was received by the Commander of the Western Naval Area. A ceremonial Guard of Honour was subsequently accorded to Air Chief Marshal Singh in accordance with long-standing naval traditions.

Following the ceremonial reception, the Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy introduced the Navy Chief of Staff and members of the Board of Management to the Indian Air Force Chief.

During the official meeting, Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh and Vice Admiral Kanchana Banagoda held productive discussions on matters of bilateral importance and cooperation between the two countries.

To commemorate the significance of the official visit, mementos were also exchanged between the two military leaders.
