Health Minister Nalinda Jayatissa Leaves for Switzerland to Attend WHO Assembly

Nalinda Jayatissa, Sri Lanka’s Minister of Health and Mass Media, is scheduled to depart for Switzerland this morning (18) to participate in the 79th Annual General Assembly of the World Health Organization.

The conference will be held in Geneva from May 16 to May 22.

Minister Nalinda Jayatissa is expected to participate in several sessions held alongside the conference and is also scheduled to deliver a speech at the main assembly on May 18.

During the visit, the Minister is also expected to hold bilateral discussions with health ministers from countries including Bhutan, Thailand, and Bangladesh, as well as with the Nippon Foundation and several other organizations.
