One Killed in Shooting Incident at Tangalle, Galle

Police stated that one person was killed in a shooting incident that took place in the Dixon Junction area of Tangalle, Galle.

According to police, the shooting occurred today (12) at around 7.30 a.m.

An unidentified individual who arrived in a car had reportedly carried out the shooting before fleeing the scene.

The victim, who sustained critical injuries in the shooting, was admitted to Karapitiya Teaching Hospital for treatment but later succumbed to injuries, police said.

Sri Lanka Police officers in Galle are conducting further investigations into the incident.
