88-Foot Buddha Statue Unveiled at Nainativu Rajamaha Viharaya

A newly constructed 88-foot-tall Buddha statue has been officially unveiled at the Nainativu Rajamaha Viharaya in Jaffna.

A large number of Buddhist devotees from Southern Sri Lanka participated in the religious ceremonies held in connection with the unveiling of the statue.

The devotees first visited and worshipped at the Nainativu Nagapooshani Amman Temple before proceeding in a religious procession to the vihara, where they took part in religious observances and the official opening ceremony of the Buddha statue.
